City of Helena – City Council Minutes Books Digitization Project

The Helena City Council Minute Books Preservation Project preserved the first eleven minute books of the Helena City Council by creating digital copies. The books captured the content of the council’s meetings from 1881 to 1910.

With MHF funds, the city of Helena digitized the collection and uploaded them to the Montana State Library’s Montana Memory Project. An important result of this effort was it reduced the wear and tear on the original books and made the records accessible to the public.
