Thompson-Hickman Madison County Library & Archives

The Thompson-Hickman Madison County Public Library sees 10,000 patrons each year, and the library and its archives have outgrown its building.

The Montana History Foundation funded the Thompson-Hickman Madison County Public Library to purchase and install high-density, free-standing shelving in the archive room, increasing the library’s archival storage by five times its original capacity. With new, state-of-the art shelving and lighting/climate control systems, the Thompson-Hickman Madison County Public Library can continue collecting historical material and servicing the Virginia City and Madison County populations.
