Snowy Mountain Development Corporation – Central Montana Métis Oral History Project

Oral Historian Candi Zion will interview ten descendants of original Central Montana Métis settlers. The history, transcription, and pictures will be uploaded to the Montana Memory Project and will also be available at the Lewistown Public Library. This project will explore the contributions of the Métis to the growth of Central Montana, the prejudice against the Métis, and the traditional Métis lifeways practices.
