Hill School

The Hill School was constructed around the turn of the twentieth century and used continuously until 1967 when it closed. While the building appeared to be structurally sound, it had deteriorated over the years and needed a great deal of repair, mostly to the exterior.

Using MHF funds, Ted and Connie Mathis replaced broken windows, caulked, scraped, primed and painted window casings, repaired the roof ridge caps, painted the flag pole and purchased a new flag, repaired or replaced hardware and fittings, repaired the chimney, and scraped and painted the building.
