Great Falls – Cascade County PAC – Craftsman Bungalow Survey Project

Residential development in the 1910s and 1920s increased as Great Falls enjoyed a period of substantial economic and population growth. The Craftsman Style was a popular architectural choice for homes in the Central High School Neighborhood Historic District.

Cascade County Historic Preservation Advisory Commission used MHF funds to record 35 structures as part of a pilot program targeting the Craftsman architecture style, documenting the architectural and historical aspects of this early time period. Montana Historic Property Records were created for the buildings, and a nomination to the National Register of Historic Places was prepared for the Central High School Neighborhood Historic District.
