Broadwater Conservation District – From the Ground Up

The role of women in agriculture and conservation was an essential thread of the fabric of Montana’s settlement & history. The objective of the statewide project was to capture the stories of women who worked in Montana’s agricultural industry. The stories of more than 26 women were recorded. The majority of these histories were made available for the public through the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation website, local libraries, museums, and the Montana Historical Society.
