Blackfeet Community College – Painted Buffalo Robe

The Blackfeet Community College possessed an 80-year-old painted buffalo robe that was painted by artist Bull Child. The robe depicted a scene from the 1870 Marias Massacre, which occurred when troops mistakenly identified a native community as a hostile group. With MHF funds, Blackfeet Community College purchased proper storage supplies to preserve the robe.
