The board and staff of the Montana History Foundation are in full support of the Montana Historical Society’s proposal as laid out in House Bill 14 to build a new Montana Heritage Center on the current site at the State Capitol in Helena.
On Tuesday, February 26, lawmakers voted against House Bill 623, which was presented by the Montana History Center Foundation (a group with no affiliation to the Montana History Foundation or the Montana Historical Society). This bill proposed to build the Center on the former Capital Hill Mall site.
We support the valiant efforts of the Montana Historical Society. To learn more about the project, visit https://mhs.mt.gov/about/MHC.
