Virginia City—Where History Lives is a DVD created by The Montana History Foundation to showcase why this “Town of Firsts” deserves to be preserved and protected. Virginia City was Montana’s first gold rush town (est. 1864), Montana’s first public school (1866), first site of electrification (1892) and much more. Virginia City is more than a ghost town, it’s a National Historic Landmark and the site where history lives. It is a place worth seeing, visiting, and saving!
The video was created through the generous support of many donors and proceeds from all sales of this DVD go toward preserving Montana’s historic resources.
